FIESTA BOWL TRIP INFORMATION FOR PARENTS WANT TO SEE THE PRIDE!

Siouxland Travel in Orange City has put together a package for parents, friends and fans of the Pride of the Dutchmen Marching Band that want to travel to Phoenix this winter to see the band.  Please check out their website www.siouxlandtravel.net for complete information.

Smart Shopping is for EVERYONE - Did you know that many businesses in the MOC-Floyd Valley School District are willing to support your child by donating a portion of everything that you spend in their stores to YOUR CHILD for the upcoming Fiesta Bowl Trip?  Please check the Smart Shopping Information Guide to see a list of businesses that participate and then use one of the handy order forms to receive all of the shopping materials that you will need to get started.  Return the Order Form with the correct amount of money to the High School Office and Julie Henrich, Smart Shopping Chairperson, will get the items that you need to start participating.

Chaperones needed for the Fall Marching Season/Fiesta Bowl Trip

We are starting to get questions concerning chaperones for the Fiesta Bowl Trip. Most of the decisions on chaperones will not be made until early fall.  We do have a method for selecting chaperones:

1. Staff members and their spouses get the right of first refusal

2. Current members of the Band Parents Board are asked after Staff Members

3. Current parents that have children in band and have been actively supporting the band by acting as chaperones on Fall Marching trips will be asked after that

4. If we still are in need of chaperones, we will seek individual with specialties (medical, transportation, student supervision).

Chaperones will receive a portion of their trips expenses as payment for their services.  The amount will be determined after all trip costs are finalized.  Chaperones will be chosen by the end of August 2008.
